College Savings Plan

Families across the country are finding that using a college savings plan to pay for college makes more sense than ever. All 50 states now offer college savings plans, sometimes referred to as 529 plans.

Many 529 College Savings Plans now have a digital distribution option which saves time and improves transparency with real-time payment tracking. When requesting a withdrawal from your plan, look to see if a digital disbursement is available.

You may also use Cashnet to process an online payment with your 529 plan if the plan participates. Cashnet charges a $10.00 convenience fee for this service.

For a list of participating 529 plans, you can follow the below steps or visit: 529 Savings Plans Providers – Student Services

  1. Initiate a payment in Cashnet.
  2. Select 529 as the tender type.
  3. Follow the steps to complete the transaction.
