The Office of the Bursar serves many purposes, including acting as a central clearinghouse and billing agent for charges and credits placed on student's Bursar bill by their college, Campus Life, Cornell Health, Transportation Services, or other units. Bursar Account Services is available to answer questions about your bursar bill, payment options, and much more.
For Incoming Students and Parents
Use the following checklist to get set up for electronic billing and year-end tax information.
Students
- Review the Bursar and CornellCard Billing Procedures.
- Enroll in Cashnet (with this being the Cashnet link), our online billing system, to view your tuition and fees, make payments and retrieve your 1098-T. Students must authorize access for other users/payers.
- Sign up for direct deposit for your student refunds.
- Sign your financial responsibility agreement.
- Sign up for CornellCard, which allows you to use your Cornell student ID card to make on-campus purchases.
Parents
- Review the Bursar and CornellCard Billing Procedures.
- Once your student has sent and invitation through Cashnet, complete the signup process to begin the reviewing and paying the electronic bills.
