Payment Options

The Office of the Bursar offers several payment options, including a monthly installment plan. Full payment of your student bill is due by the date indicated on your statement. You are responsible for paying any amounts not covered by financial aid or outside sources. A late-payment penalty of 1.25% of any past-due balances will be assessed. A past-due balance may result in your student account being placed on financial hold, which restricts future registration and receipt of diplomas and transcripts.

Note: Please use the "Payment Options" category in the menu on the right to find out more about payment options, or read about more payment options below.

Do not make a payment to a CornellCard account unless you have completed a CornellCard application.  If you make a payment to a CornellCard account when you have not completed the CornellCard application, that account will be deactivated automatically, and you will need to visit the bursar's office in person to reactivate it.

 Payment Options

     Electronically:

  • Students and other authorized users may pay the bursar bill online via Net.Pay .
  • Other payers not enrolled in Net.Pay may pay the bursar bill electronically via Net.Pay's Payment Without Bill Presentment .

    In Person:

  • Bring your payment, along with your payment coupon, to the Office of the Bursar, 260 Day Hall, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Because paying in person may involve waiting in line, especially during registration times, we encourage you to pay by mail or online.

    By Mail:

  • Send your payment stub and a check or money order to Cornell University, 260 Day Hall, Ithaca, NY  14853. Please be sure to indicate on the stub the sums you want applied to each account (Bursar or Cornellcard).

Note:  For timely posting of your payment, mail your payment at least five days before the due date.  Make your check payable to "Cornell University."  Do not send cash.
