National Student Clearing House (NSC)
To enhance the overall student loan program and to simplify the enrollment verification process, an industry-sponsored consortium, the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) was established. The Clearinghouse is a non-profit corporation that provides status and deferment information on behalf of Cornell University to guaranty agencies, lenders, servicers, and the Department of Education's National Student Data System.
